Ahoy, mateys! Set sail for Pirate Palooza at Yunker Farm! Join us on Friday, August 15 from 4:00-7:00 pm for an action-packed evening full of pirate-themed adventures. This family-friendly event is perfect for young mates ready to explore both land and (pretend) sea.
Kids can become true pirates with temporary tattoos from the Pirate Tattoo Parlor, design their own pirate flags, and navigate a high-seas obstacle course full of fun and adventure. They'll also enjoy ship rides, hands-on crafts, and the chance to uncover hidden treasures throughout the event!
Whether you come dressed as a pirate or just want to join the fun, there’s something for everyone. Costumes are encouraged, creativity is welcome, and adventure awaits. Bring your whole crew for an unforgettable evening at Yunker Farm!
Roam the Red
Get ready to Roam the Red! Join Fargo Parks, Moorhead Parks & Recreation and Discover Outdoors on Saturday, September 6 for a full day of adventure, relaxation and community along the beautiful and mighty Red River of the North.
Roam the Red is an open invitation to experience the heart of our region’s river trails on foot, by bike, through art or in stillness. This day is built for everyone, with outdoor activities that welcome all ages, abilities and experience levels. From wooded paths and scenic bridges to wide open greenways, the trails offer a chance to connect with nature at your own pace.
The event runs from 8:30 am-7:00 pm, with activities happening throughout the day at Dike East Park in Fargo, Gooseberry Park in Moorhead and all along the trails in between. All activities are free and designed to be enjoyed at your own pace. The focus is on human-powered movement, so we ask that motorized vehicles like e-bikes, scooters, skateboards and one wheels stay off the trails to help keep the experience safe and peaceful for everyone. Wheelchair-accessible options are part of the day, and everyone is encouraged to join in a way that feels right for them.
A detailed event schedule and map will be released closer to the event.
As the sun begins to set, head to Gooseberry Park for the Trailhead Party. Swap stories from the trail over a cold drink from Swing Barrel Brewing, grab a bite from local food trucks like Mama G’s Taqueria and enjoy the music of DJ 1 Pretty Ricky and the WE ARE ONE crew.
Whether you come alone or with friends, move fast or take it slow, this is your chance to be part of something rooted in community, connection, and the simple joy of being outside.
