Level 2 - Fundamentals (7-12 years of age)
FUNdamentals is the follow-up to Level 1 and Level 1+. This level is designed for participants with or without prior golf experience. This class will meet for a 50-minute lesson two times a week. This six-lesson junior golf program for beginners focuses on making the fundamentals fun through simple teaching points, drills and games. It covers basic fundamentals, etiquette, rules of the game and concludes with a team scramble event on the El Zagal short course.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own golf equipment, though limited golf equipment is available.
Level 1+ - Active Start +1 (5-7 years of age)
Active Start+1 is an entry level program designed for youth with little or no golf experience. The class will meet for a 45-minute lesson two times a week. In this six-lesson program, juniors will be using real golf clubs rather than the SNAG golf equipment. The youth will be taught a simplified approach to learning the game of golf. It covers basic fundamentals, etiquette, rules of the game and concludes with a team scramble event on the El Zagal short course. New golfers in this age group may benefit from participating in Active Start before enrolling in Active Start+1.

Using the oversized and bright colored SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment, the youth will be taught a simplified approach to learning the game of golf. This six-lesson junior program covers basic fundamentals, etiquette, rules of the game and concludes with a team scramble event on the El Zagal short course.
SNAG golf equipment will be provided for participants.
Parking and Transportation
Make sure to leave yourself time to find parking. The Island Park parking lots or the ramp are great options to look for parking and there is also plenty of street parking in the area around the park.
MAT Bus also offers free rides to kids coming to the Teddy Bear Parade and Midwest Kid Fest! Adults ride for only $1.50. Pick a bus route or park your car in one of the Park & Ride Lots.
