Fargo Park District Responds to Cybersecurity Event

Description

The Fargo Park District invites the public to the community’s first State of the Parks public forum on Tuesday, December 6 at 5:30 pm. The forum will include a report delivered by Fargo Park District Executive Director Dave Leker reflecting on the past year, celebrating the District’s many successes and looking forward to future initiatives. The event will be hosted at the Dakota Medical Foundation, 4141 28th Ave S, Fargo.    

The event is free to the public but does require registration.

The public forum will be streamed via the Fargo Park District YouTube channel and the Fargo Park District Facebook page and recordings will be available after the event. 

The public is also urged to submit items of interest and questions via the registration link. A moderator will facilitate a question-and-answer portion of the event using submitted questions with Fargo Park District leadership. 

Expected topics of discussion include the Fargo Parks Sports Complex, Island Park Pool, Yunker Farm Park Master Plan, Island Park Master Plan, recreation programs, and the District’s recent strategic plan and reorganization.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.  

2024

Anderson Field Lighting Project

Status: Complete December 2024

Location: Anderson Softball Complex

Project Overview: Updated lights are being installed in the two south fields at Anderson Softball Complex. Underground work began in mid-July and is anticipated to be complete in early August. Lights will be installed in mid to late October. 

2025

Tharaldson Little League Playground

Status: Completed December 2025

Location: Tharaldson Little League Playground

Project Overview: Removing and replacing the playground equipment with new, modern structures to provide a safer and more engaging play environment. The playground is closed until construction is complete. 

2026

Fargo South Pool Mechanical Replacement Project

Status: Completed April 2026

Location: Fargo South Pool

Project Overview: This project will include complete removal and replacement of all pumps, filters, piping and strainer baskets.

Winter Tree Pruning

Status: Completed March 2026

Pointe West Park

Status: Future | Starting Late-August 2026

Location: Pointe West Park

Expected Completion: September 2026

Project Overview: Remove the existing outdated playground and replace it with a new, durable, high-quality playground designed to enhance play value and user experience.
