Fargo Park Event & Programs

Get ready for a day of frosty fun at the annual Youth Pond Hockey Day tournament in the heart of Lindenwood Park! Watch your kids hit the ice and revel in the joy of hockey the old-fashioned way—out in the crisp, open air!

We're gearing up for an action-packed day that promises endless smiles. Each team plays three games in this jamboree-style event, with two 10-minute halves. Our divisions are tailored for every skill level, with 10U, 8U, and 6U (All divisions are coed). Teams can roster up to 8 players, but squads of 6 are recommended for maximum fun! 

Games are set for a fast-paced 4-on-4 showdown that'll have you at the edge of your seat! And when you're not cheering on your team, head over to our cozy warming tent for snacks, drinks, and a chance to toast some marshmallows on our outdoor fire pits!

Over 18 and want to play pond hockey?

Don't miss out on the adult hockey event of the season—the Fargo Pond Hockey Classic, where the fun never thaws for those 18 and up with three divisions. 

Join us at S'mores & More for a night out with the family! Cook your own S'mores, drink hot chocolate, listen to music and skate on an outdoor rink! Don't forget to bring your skates. (No skate rentals available) 

The rink and warming house are available to use during the event. This event is free and open to the public.

Ready to take your hockey skills to the next level? Join us for Open Hockey, the perfect time for players of all ages and abilities to hit the ice and refine those moves! Whether you’re looking to work on your slap shot, practice puck handling, or just love the thrill of skating with a stick, this is your chance to sharpen your game. Helmets and gloves are required for everyone, so come geared up for fun. Be sure to bring your own skates and stick, as rentals are not available. It’s not just open skate—it's hockey time!

Come join us for a fun and educational event to learn about the many over-wintering birds in the Fargo-Moorhead community! The Fargo Park District and Audubon Great Plains are hosting The Winter Birding Festival at Forest River Park. This free birding event is for all skill levels. Don't forget to bring a pair of binoculars, a limited number is provided. 

Registration is not required for this free event. 

Looking for a cure to cabin fever? Dive into the heated indoor pool at Open Swim! Grab your goggles and swimsuit for some swimming fun.
