Birding 101 & 202 (Day 1 - May 5)
This class teaches the philosophy of birding, places to bird in the Fargo-Moorhead area, tools for bird watching, bird anatomy, field marks, bird songs and more.
Birding 303 & 404 (Day 2 - May 6)
This class is designed to help a birder recognize the common species of the area and particularly those unique birds that migrate through the Fargo-Moorhead Red River corridor. The class works on both visual and auditory identification.
Field Days
After two days of classroom learning, participants will put their skills to the test during six early morning field trips to top birding spots around Fargo. These guided outings begin at 7:00 am on May 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25.
