Active Agers

Location: Fargo Parks Sports Center
Dates: Year Round, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Time: 9:00-10:00am
Fee: Free

Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) is an evidence-based strength, balance and fitness program for adults 55 and older. Performing exercises that improve strength, balance and fitness are the single most important activity that adults can do to stay active and reduce their chances of falling. 

Location: Fargo Parks Sports Center
Day: Thursdays
Fee: $5 per class

We’re partnering with Club Pilates to offer a weekly Active Ager mat Pilates class. This low-impact, joint-friendly class is designed to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall wellness.

Strength, Balance, and Stretch combines bands and body weight as resistance to improve muscular strength. The instructor will go through a series of balance and fall prevention movements to improve mobility. This class ends with a variety of stretches for large muscle groups to improve flexibility and stability. This class is perfect for all fitness levels.

Enjoy coffee and a treat while learning about safety, health, wellness, and more from local community experts in a social environment. Our Safety Social is a monthly presentation designed to help older adults in our community live their best lives. This event is free to the public with no pre-registration required.

Fargo Park District Programs & Leagues

All Fargo Park District programs and leagues are first come first serve. Please be advised, a lot of programs and leagues fill up before the registration deadline. You cannot register for a program or league that is already full. Some programs and leagues have waitlists. If you are on a waitlist, you are NOT registered and are only contacted if a spot becomes available.
