Hello Fargo,

Summer is just around the corner, and we’re getting ready to welcome you back to the pools. From passes and opening dates to new offerings and important updates, here’s what you need to know as we head into the 2026 season.

Pool passes are now available to purchase online. With Fargo Parks’ new registration system, all poolgoers will need to create a new account before purchasing passes. Click here to sign up.

Once your account is set up, future purchases will be quick and convenient, and each account will include a digital barcode to make checking into the pools even easier. Previous years’ pool pass cards can be discarded. If you need a physical card, one can be requested through the Fargo Parks recreation team at info@fargoparks.com.

Island Park Pool is scheduled to open June 1, with all other pools opening June 8, weather permitting. Thanks to strong early lifeguard commitment, Island Park Pool will again open ahead of the rest of the system this season.

Pool hours for Davies Recreation Pool, Southwest Recreation Pool, and Roger G. Gress Northside Pool will run Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday through Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Island Park Pool will be open daily from 12:00 to 7:00 pm, and Madison Pool will be open daily from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.

There are several additions and returning favorites to look forward to this summer. Tot Time is now available at Davies Recreation Pool Monday through Friday from 10:30 to 11:50 am, joining Island Park Pool as an option for younger swimmers and families looking for a quieter, more sensory-friendly environment. Adult Swim Nights are also back at Island Park Pool, with events scheduled for June 10, June 24, July 8, and July 22 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

Residents should also keep a few important updates in mind as the season begins. The FM Gators will host swim meets at Island Park Pool June 12 through 14 and again on July 1 beginning at 4:00 pm. During those times, the pool will be closed to the public, but Island Park-only pass holders may use their passes at any other Fargo pool. Construction at Davies High School may also temporarily affect parking at Davies Recreation Pool, though the pool itself will remain open.

Access continues to be a priority throughout the pool season. Pool pass scholarships are available for qualifying individuals and families, helping more residents enjoy a safe and fun summer experience. This support is made possible through the Fargo Park District Scholarship Program, funded by the Fargo Park District Foundation and community donors. Fargo Parks is also proud to bring back All-Access Splash, presented by Town & Country Credit Union, with five free pool days scheduled throughout July: July 2 at Island Park Pool, July 7 at Southwest Pool, July 15 at Davies Pool, July 20 at Roger G. Gress Northside Pool, and July 28 at Madison Pool.

As the season approaches, Fargo Parks is continuing to hire lifeguards and seasonal staff. For those looking for a summer job that actually feels like summer, lifeguarding offers the chance to work outside, earn competitive pay, and be part of the team that helps keep summer fun and safe across Fargo’s five outdoor pools. If you or someone you know would be a good fit, apply now: fargoparks.com/lifeguards.

We look forward to swimming with you!
