The Fargo Park District Board of Commissioners held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in the Alex Stern Community Room at the Fargo Parks Sports Center. The board approved the agenda and consent agenda as presented. Consent approvals included the January Board Meeting Minutes and Bills, 2026 Park District maintenance equipment bids, the Selkirk 4th Addition Memorandum of Understanding, the Brookstone Payment in Lieu Agreement, and updated governance policies.
Public Comments
During public comments, several community members spoke regarding the future of Broadway Station, emphasizing its importance as a centrally located hub for North Fargo seniors and encouraging the board to consider a multi-year lease renewal while long-term planning continues.
Director’s Report
Executive Director Susan Faus shared updates including Giving Hearts Day on February 12, with donations supporting youth and adult scholarships and matched up to $10,000 by Brian and Patricia Smith.
Easement Agreement with Inter Midwest Holdings LLC
The board approved a non-exclusive easement agreement to allow overflow event parking access for Scheels Arena across the Inter Midwest Holdings LLC property. The agreement allows for shared surface parking use as surrounding properties are developed. The motion passed unanimously.
Broadway Station Lease Renewal
Staff presented three options for consideration regarding the Broadway Station lease. Following discussion of community engagement findings, operational needs, and cost considerations, the board approved a three-year lease renewal. The motion passed unanimously.
2025 Foundation Update
The Fargo Park District Foundation shared its annual update, highlighting $321,000 raised in 2025, nearly 600 scholarships awarded in addition to the expansion of adult scholarships.
Governance Committee Update
The board received a Governance Committee update that included discussion of governance policy revisions related to meeting procedures and public comment practices, as well as updates to committee structure language and future policy review priorities.
Planning Committee Update
The board received a Planning Committee update that included review of findings from the North Fargo Older Adult Community Engagement project, additional discussion regarding the Broadway Station lease, and routine planning and development items.
