Fargo Parks is partnering with PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation to host the PepsiCo Food for Good event at Santa Village, Saturday, December 17 from 1:00-5:00 pm. At the event, the PepsiCo Fargo team will be distributing more than 800 nutritious ‘Food for Good’ weekend meal kits. These shelf stable meals have been packed by their local team and contain breakfast and lunch items such as juice, cereal and meal entrees.

"PepsiCo and the Fargo Park District have had a long partnership of collaboration" says Fargo Park District Event Supervisor Tatiana Friese. "We are excited to continue finding new ways we can work together to better the community we serve."

The meal kits are part of the PepsiCo Foundation’s Food for Good commitment to advance food security through collaboration in communities where they live and work. In the United States, Food for Good is focused on leveraging PepsiCo’s expertise in taste, nutrition, and distribution to deliver nutritious meals to children in underserved communities. Since 2009, Food for Good has partnered with more than 50 organizations to deliver more than 60 million meals in the United States.

“We’re thrilled to be part of Santa Village this year—one of Fargo’s most special and anticipated traditions,” said Lindsey Thomas, Market Director, PepsiCo Beverages North America. “Our local Fargo team of 130 employees packed these 800 meals and we’re happy to bundle up and share them with our neighbors in the Village this weekend.”

The Fargo Park District is happy to provide a fun and well attended event to host this impactful program. The meal kits will be handed out, while supplies last, during the December 17 Santa Village event at the red house next to the reindeer enclosure.
