The Fargo Park District is proud to announce the promotion of Paul Grindeland to Valley Senior Services Director. Grindeland is slated to transition as Director on October 10, 2022. 

Grindeland replaces current Director Brian Arett who previously announced his plans to retire as Director at the end of this year after 40+ years at the helm. As Director, Grindeland will provide leadership, coordination, planning and direction of Valley Senior Services and its entities including transportation services, senior centers and Meals on Wheels.  

Grindeland currently serves as the Valley Senior Services Transit Manager, a position he has held since 1995. As Transit Manager he has directed the Metro Senior Ride Service across the Fargo-Moorhead metro and public transportation across a six-county surrounding region. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from North Dakota State University and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Assistance from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Grindeland also serves on the Fargo Park District Safety Committee and Civil Service Commission with the City of Fargo. 

Valley Senior Services is a 501(c)(3) organization and entity of the Fargo Park District. For the last 50 years it has provided services to thousands of seniors across countless communities in North Dakota and Minnesota. Services include delivering daily hot meals through Meals on Wheels, operating local senior centers, transportation services, connecting seniors to needed resources and much more.
