The public is invited to attend the second public input meeting for the Island Park Master Plan on Tuesday, April 26 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Robert D. Johnson Recreation Center. Guests can view and comment on concepts to be considered, learn about participating in the planning process and share ideas with the design team of AGL Landscape Architects and RDG Planning and Design.

Results of public input meetings are posted online at IslandPark.MindMixer.com. The public can sign up to view additional resources from the design team, rate community comments and share their own ideas prior to and following the public input meeting.

Drafts of the plan created over the last four months have been compiled into the Island Park Master Plan Feedback survey. The public is asked to complete the survey by May 10.

The preparation of a master plan for Island Park will help build a better understanding of how the park is used, what existing features are to be preserved for the future, and what other ideas can be generated to help guide future decisions and capital improvements within Island Park. The final master plan will provide a summary of ideas, priorities, and opportunities as a guiding document for the Fargo Park District to coordinate park improvements for the next 20 years and beyond.

The RDJ Rec Center is located at 1104 2 Ave S, Fargo. For more information, call 701-499-6060 or visit FargoParks.com.
