Join us at Broadway Square as we partner with Courts Plus Community Fitness, Downtown Yoga Fargo and YMCA instructors to provide a variety of wellness classes at Broadway Square throughout the summer! Prizes are awarded to participants at the end of every month to provide ongoing motivation.
Bring your completed Wellness at The Square waiver to your first class to save time before your workout, and consider a Pay What You Can contribution if you appreciate the experience. All funds go to improving the series and making it sustainable.
Enjoy a calorie-burning fitness session and grab a pre-ordered healthy lunch to-go after your workout. These hour-long noon classes are set for Tuesdays in July and will feature different approaches to wellness and different local food options.
Classes are led by instructors from the YMCA, Downtown Yoga Fargo and Courts Plus and require preregistration.
Each of these yoga classes is designed for people of all fitness and experience levels and will improve your mind, your body and your life. They are led by instructors from Downtown Yoga Fargo and the YMCA.
XaBeat, taught by Courts Plus instructors, is an upbeat dance class that burns calories. This class takes the latest music and turns your workout into a party! This class is for all levels of dance or fitness.
Zumba, taught by YMCA instructors, is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
Walk Crew Thursdays
Gather at Broadway Square for weekly walks around downtown Fargo and nearby trails!
Walk Crew is the opportunity for those who enjoy the healthy workout of walking to meet at The Square each Thursday at noon and walk with a group, exploring new routes that include the trails and sidewalks of the downtown Fargo-Moorhead area each week.
Pay What You Can
While most fitness classes have registration fees, Broadway Square is trying something different to support its Wellness at The Square series. We want to keep access to these classes affordable for all community members, and are therefore launching a Pay What You Can approach.
At the beginning and end of each Wellness at The Square session, attendees are encouraged to scan the QR code and contribute an amount - $5.00 is the suggested fee. All funds collected throughout the summer series go towards program costs, strengthening the Wellness at The Square program for next year, and helping it grow to a level of long-term sustainability.
