Prairie Public is hosting a Share A Story family event on August 10, 3pm-7pm, at
downtown Fargo’s Broadway Square.

At this free event, children can meet Nature Cat from the hit PBS KID series, enjoy storytellers, music, games, and prizes. Every child can choose a free book to take home! Performers include musician Bill Thomas and storyteller Michael Gallo. Christy Goulet will sing Ojibwe and Lakota songs and lead a circle dance. Community partners that will provide other activities include the Fargo Fire Department, the Fargo Public Library, the Moorhead Public Library, the Little Red Reading Bus, the North Dakota Autism Center, and Altrusa International.

The community-wide event is committed to inspiring adults to help develop art, literacy, and language skills in their young children. The event provides fun, “everyday” activities as specific ways for parents and early childhood educators to provide a
stimulating environment around art, language, reading, and writing. The event aims to powerfully impact educational development, foster parental involvement, and encourage positive social and emotional growth.
