Explore our youth programs centered on Arts & Culture, designed to foster creative expression and deepen cultural understanding. Through hands-on artistic experiences and cultural exploration, participants discover their voice, build confidence, and expand their perspectives in safe and welcoming spaces.
Programs in this area fall within three categories: Art Expression, Craft & Make, and Culture & Heritage. Together, these experiences encourage creativity, self-expression, and meaningful engagement with diverse artistic and cultural traditions.

Art Studio
Step into a world of sweet imagination in this five-week Art Studio session inspired by candy, colorful treats, and sugary surprises! Artists will explore a variety of art materials, techniques, and creative challenges as they transform their favorite sweets into one-of-a-kind works of art. From playful pop art and imaginative candy characters to colorful candy packaging and sweet-inspired sculptures, each class is packed with opportunities to experiment, explore, and create!
Projects may include bubblegum-inspired pop art, handmade squishies, colorful boxes of chocolates, candy-themed clay creations, and other whimsical works of art. Along the way, artists will experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and 3-D art while exploring color, shape, texture, and creative design.
No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Each Art Studio session features new projects, so returning artists are always welcome!
COMBINED LITTLE & JUNIOR ARTISTS
Ages: 6-12

Get creative, get cozy, and explore the art of all things warm and wonderful! In this five-week Art Studio session, artists will experiment with a variety of art materials, techniques, and textures to create projects inspired by the comforts of the cozy season. From warm winter scenes and whimsical woodland creatures to colorful mittens, mugs of hot cocoa, and textured mixed-media masterpieces, each class brings a new opportunity to imagine, explore, and create.
No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Each Art Studio session features new projects, so returning artists are always welcome!
On the final day of class, families are invited to join their artist for a 10-15-minute mini art show to celebrate and showcase everything they created throughout the session.

Learn through fun, hands-on drawing activities how to develop unique characters using shapes, expressions, poses, personalities, and visual storytelling techniques.
This 5-class session is led by Avery Bauman, a freelance artist and animator specializing in animation and comics, with a degree in Fine Art in Animation.
No experience is necessary! This is a traditional pen-and-paper art class, so no technology skill is required. All materials are provided.

Bundle up your imagination and get ready for a creative adventure into the frozen world of the Arctic! In this five-week Art Studio session, artists will explore icy landscapes, incredible Arctic animals, and the wonders of a world covered in snow and ice. Through fun, hands-on projects, artists will experiment with a variety of art materials, techniques, and textures as they bring their frosty creations to life.
Projects may include colorful northern lights, playful polar bears, snowy owls, shimmering ice sculptures, Arctic animal portraits, and mixed-media winter landscapes. Along the way, artists will explore drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking, and other creative techniques while discovering the beauty and wonder of the Arctic.
No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Each Art Studio session features new projects, so returning artists are always welcome!

Bring your stories to life, one panel at a time! In this beginner-friendly Comic Strip Art Studio, explore the art of visual storytelling as you learn to create your own original comics. Through fun, hands-on drawing activities, you'll discover how to develop characters, plan storylines, design panels, and use expressions, dialogue, and action to tell engaging stories. From your first sketches to a finished comic strip, you'll build drawing and storytelling skills while exploring your own creative style.

In this five-week Art Studio session, artists will step into the magical world of fairy tales, folklore, and storybook adventures as they bring their own imaginative stories to life through art. From enchanted forests and magical castles to mythical creatures and whimsical characters, each class invites artists to explore new materials, techniques, and creative possibilities.
Projects may include mixed-media fairy-tale landscapes, clay dragons and magical creatures, enchanted castles, imaginative character portraits, and storybook-inspired creations. Along the way, artists will experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and 3-D art while exploring storytelling, character design, color, texture, and creative expression.
