The Fargo Park District is looking for volunteers to help with special events and recreational programs throughout the year. Many ages and skill levels are welcome in the volunteer program.
The Department of Cultural Activities relies on volunteer assistance to make events happen. Volunteers can assist in setting up and working at events. Volunteers can be greeters, ticket takers, game operators, and parking attendants. Some events encourage families and large groups to participate together.
Cultural Activities Volunteer Opportunity: Celtic Festival
Date: Saturday, March 14, 2015
Location: Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, MN
Times of event: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Event Description: The 12th Annual Celtic Festival 2015 is a celebration of the rich culture of the seven Celtic Nations featuring the intriguing history, arts and traditions of Brittany, Cornwall, Isle of Man, Galicia, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Enjoy lyrical Celtic music played by great bands from the community and region. Watch dancers' impressive footwork. The festival features entertainment stages, several presentations about folk traditions of the past and present, activities booths and Celtic foods.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOUR HELP! If you are interested in helping out please let me know what shift you’d be interested in.
- Shifts: 9:30am-1:30pm and 1:00 - 4:30pm
- 20-25 people needed per shift
- Volunteer duties include helping at arts and crafts, greeting, handing out programs, supervising presentations room and much more.
