The Fargo Park District is looking for volunteers to help with special events and recreational programs throughout the year. Many ages and skill levels are welcome in the volunteer program.


Events Department:

Join us at one of the following events to help families make magical memories in our community

  • Santa Village: November 30-December 23, 2019

Santa is coming to Fargo!  Help bring magic to the season by joining Santa's elves at Rheault Farm for a free holiday experience for all ages.  Volunteers will assist with decorating cookies with Mrs. Claus, creating a Christmas ornament with the children, or collecting donations to give back the the community.

  • Cardboard Sled Race: January 18, 2020

Time to flex your recycling muscles! Gather your supplies and test your hand at creating an amazing cardboard sled. There are sled races and a contest for the most creative sled.  Volunteers will help with registration and judging the races.

  • Frozen Business Showdown: January 24, 2020

Teams battle for points in these all-new winter activities with a twist!.  The Frozen Business Showdown includes an eight-game competition to test local team's physical, mental, and teamwork skills.  Volunteers will assist with greeting participants, manning the info booth, and running the game activities.

  • Uniquely Fargo: Winter Warriors: January 25, 2020

Teams will compete against one another in epic battles of one-of-a-kind winter activities to claim the title of Ultimate Winter Warrior.  Volunteers will assist with greeting participants, manning the info booth, and running the game activities.

Valley Senior Services:

Looking for volunteers to help deliver meals Monday-Friday throughout various counties in North Dakota. We currently deliver to an average of 400 people a day. These meals help seniors on a contributory basis to offset the cost of meal preparation. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Kayla at 701-293-1440

Programming Department:

The programming department relies on volunteers for coaching youth baseball and youth flag football and other special events throughout the year.
