The Fargo Park District has closed all riverfront parks and trails for flood mitigation efforts. There are flood waters present currently in portions of the multiuse trail system along the river as well as the lower sections of the river front parks. The park and trail closures are part of an effort to reduce traffic in the area during flood protection efforts. The parks and trails will remain closed until flood levels subside and flood cleanup is completed.

The park closure includes but is not limited to: Dike East Park and Dog Park, Lindenwood Park, Oak Grove Park, Trefoil Park, Wildflower Park, Lions Conservancy Park, Holm Park, and Jack Williams Stadium. The trail closure includes the multiuse trails stretching from Lindenwood to El Zagal and Trollwood to Riverwood. This park closure is in addition to the nature park closure previously announced.
