COVID-19 Procedures and Physical Distancing Guidelines
The following are a set of guidelines for operational practices at the Fargo Park District Lindenwood Rentals. These guidelines have been created with the knowledge and information from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health officials. We are continueing to monitor the impact of COVID-19 as it relates to our rental operations which could lead to altering or ceasig operations at any time. 

1. Bikes available to rent: Fun Cycles, Banana Peels, Mini Peels, Low Riders, Jr. Low Riders
Single Surrey.
2. Payment is credit and debt cards only. No cash or checks will be accepted at this time.
3. The Bike Rental building is closed to the public. Rentals are available through the window by the door.
4. Only one person on the porch at a time to allow for safe physical distancing.
5. Bikes will be sanitized when returned from each rental.
6. Do not sit on or touch any bikes without a rental. Staff will assist in renting the
    correect size bike for the rider.
7. Beverages and ice cream treats are available for purchase.
8. Stay home if you are sick or symptomatic.


Bike Rentals

What better way to get out in the sun than to go for a bike ride in Lindenwood Park! Several single rider styles of bikes are available to rent for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. We also offer helmets because safety first. Biking is permitted around the park. All bikes must stay in the park. Bikes are based on availability and are rented on a first come first serve basis.

Kayak Rentals

Kayaks are available to rent for 1 hour. Kayaks are rented on a first come, first serve basis. The kayaks available for rent are 10-foot kayaks that weigh 41 pounds. These kayaks are rated for the average user. Due to weight restrictions on these vessels, no one over 275 pounds is allowed in the kayaks.

Rentals include a single person kayak, PFD (otherwise known as a personal floatation device) and renters are fitted with a paddle. Everyone who rents a kayak must wear a PFD. Renters may bring their own or wear the one provided.

Renters portage the kayak on the trail from the rental building to the kayak ramp on the Red River. Renters are responsible for returning the kayak to the rental building to complete their rental.

A person must be over 18 years of age to sign the rental contract. Any person over the age of 12 may be in an individual kayak. No one under the age of 12 is allowed in the kayaks.

*Kayak rentals may not be available if river levels exceed 17ft. or flow rates have a high paddling scale rating. Please call 701-356-2106 to verify if rentals  are available.
