Kids to Parks is still on! It just looks a little different this year as we bring parks to the kids. Kids to Parks Day is now a pick up and go event featuring two fun family friendly take-home activities. The no contact pick up stations will take place on Saturday, May 16 from 10:00-11:00 am, at Rheault Farm and Island Park. Here is how you can pick up your favorite Kids to Parks Day activities:

Each of the two pick up locations offer a different activity for families to take home or to a park of their choice. Activities are distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis, until supplies last.

Rheault Farm pick up has 300 craft kits with an outdoor scavenger hunt. When you arrive at Rheault Farm, the pickup zone is located on the north side of the parking lot located on 30th Ave S. Please follow the traffic prompts and enter the parking lot through the East entrance and exit through the West lot exit.

Island Park pick up has 222 kites with a list of the best parks in Fargo for kite flying. The pickup zone is located near the Island Park Pool in the parking lot. Traffic will be routed one way through the lot. Please follow the traffic prompts and enter the lot along 7th Street from the south and exit to the north.

When you arrive at either pickup location, follow the signage and direction from staff and stay in your car. When you reach the pickup zone, our staff will come to your vehicle and place the activity on the ground outside the car door. Once our staff returns to the drop point, you may get out of your vehicle to place your kit in your car. In an effort to reach as many kids as possible, only one kit per vehicle per location and advance line ups are not allowed more than 10 minutes before the stated pick up time. Pickup zones will be marked by Fargo Park District flags and signage.

To provide a fun Kids to Parks Day experience this year, pickup locations are designed with social distancing practices in mind. Every effort is being made to limit contact points and to ensure that everyone adheres to the recommended 6 feet spacing. Once activities are picked up, participants can head home or to a park of their choice to participate.
