
The Fargo Park District offers art classes throughout the year. Classes include visual and performance art offerings for youth ages 3-16. Classes are held at the Robert
D. Johnson Building,

Learn How to Register
Accelerated Artists (ages 9-12)Grow your child's creativity! Young artists will explore different media such as drawing, painting, collage and more through creative and fun art projects. Students will learn about artistic styles while strengthening existing foundations. Repeat students are encouraged; projects are unique to each series.
Challenge your child's creativity! This combination class offers independent children a sampling of art projects using various media such as drawing, painting, watercolors and pastels. Projects change each series, so students can repeat the class and continue to create and have fun. Classes are held throughout the year.
Children explore the arts as they get a chance to try a little bit of everything. "Act" on your emotions. "Dance" like the stars. Mix up our own entertainment or make some music! Perfect for those busy kids who like to try a little of everything. Each session will be dedicated to one type of art; such as visual arts, music, theatre, and movement/dance. Classes are held in July.
Dive deeper into the world of art and learn more about various art styles and mediums. Enhance your creativity in this fun and relaxing atmosphere.
Let your children explore their universe through a variety of hands-on activities and projects. For ages 3-6 + adult.. Adult must accompany child. All classes will be held on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 pm. Classes are held monthly September-January.
Create a masterpiece in this parent and child class. Explore different mediums together while enhancing motor skills. Imaginations required for a class filled with painting, drawing, coloring, crafts and projects galore! Adult must accompany child. Classes are held monthly June-August.
Every kid loves Penny and her musical pals, Rocking Robot and Bernie the Bear! Come wiggle, giggle and sing with Penny. Learn songs, dances and work with props, then show off what you learned during the workshop at a special performance at the end of each session for families and friends. Classes are held throughout the year.

Learn How to Register
Looking for a Mother's Day present? During this class, you will be able to create a surprise present for your mother, step-mother, grandmother or aunt. Come and have fun while making a creative project that will be sure to love! For youth age 4-10. Class held in May.
Come to this class and make a great project for Father's Day! We will create a fun present and wrap it up for your father, step-father, grandfather or uncle. Spend time being creative and making a fantastic present for Father's Day. For youth age 4-10. Class held in June.
Can't decide what to get your mom for Christmas? Create a special gift made from the heart to give her! By the end of the class you have a gift that's wrapped and ready to give to your mom. For youth age 4-10. Class held in December.
Do you have any ideas to get you dad for Christmas? Create a special gift made from the heart to give him! By the end of the class you will have a gift that's wrapped and ready to give to your dad. For youth age 4-10. Class held in December.
Youth (ages 4-7) plus an adult enjoy a morning decorating a gingerbread house. Class held in December.

One day session for youth (age 12-16). Experiment with each activity in a two hour time frame.
Students will learn basics of drawing. Students will go home with their own sketchpad to continue their portfolio! Class held in the Fall.
Explore the endless opportunities of art using mixed media. Students will create unique projects during this creative class. Class held in the Fall.
Learn new techniques and review the basics. Students will create projrcts to take home. Class held in the Winter.
Love art but hate the mess? Bring your child to these interactive art programs to have fun while building a variety of take home projects. All creative materials will be provided.
