Cross Country Ski Race

A recreational 5K traditional ski race and 5K/10K skating style races will be offered for both youth and adults. The skating style race will start at 9:30 am. The youth race will start at 10:00 am and the adult race will start at 11:15 am. A short 1K ski race will be offered for beginning youth. Lunch will follow in the Chalet. Each participant will receive a free t-shirt. Please indicate on the registration form which group you will be racing in.

Family Day at the Dike

Enjoy events for the entire family including races, sledding, hotdogs and pop.

Frozen Fantasy

Create some winter magic by bringing the whole family out to this semi-formal dance affair. Let it snow outside while you dance the night away at this fantasy land. The evening will consist of music, dancing and refreshments. Don't forget your camera for some Frozen Fantasy family pictures.
Frozen Fantasy Tickets go one sale Tuesday, January 12. Tickets can be purchased at the RDJ Rec Center, 1104 2nd Ave S, Fargo or by calling 701-241-8160. Tickets for Frozen Fantasy must be purchased in advance.

Family Winter-ific Day

Bring the entire family and enjoy a winter day outside. Activities include Clydesdale sleigh rides, free cross-country ski rentals and sledding. All activities during Family Winter-ific Day are free.

Hockeyfest

Bring the family to a fun hockey-filled day. The Fargo Park District and Urban Plains Center are hosting the 2nd Annual Hockey Fest from 12:30-5:00 pm on Monday, February 15 at the Urban Plains Center.
Doors will open at 12:30 pm and free Subway and event t-shirts will be given to youth while supplies last. Sit in the stands and enjoy the movie Mighty Ducks at 1:00 pm while you snack on free popcorn and Pepsi products. After the movie there will be an open skate with Fargo Force players and coaches and carnival games. The afternoon will finish with a Celebrity Hockey Game at 4:30 pm with local dignitaries and celebrities.
Hockey Fest is a free community event with free parking. The Urban Plains Center is located at 5225 31 St S, Fargo. This event is sponsored by The Fargo Park District, Urban Plains Center, Pepsi and Subway. <more>

Winterfest Dog Sled Rides

Learn about sled dogs and see how they work together. Free Dog Sled Rides for ages 16 and under pending snow conditions. You can also warm up in the bunkhouse and watch a movie and enjoy free pizza and pop while supplies last.
