Cosmic Bowling

Bring the whole family and enjoy bowling at its wildest times. Music and lights will add to the party atmosphere. Prizes will be given away throughout the event. Register early. Limited spots available.

Teddy Bear Tea Party

Come dressed up for tea and bring your favorite teddy bear. Learn etiquette basics through fun games while enjoying   Bite sized snacks and refreshments will be served.  Pre-registration is required.

Butterfly Ball

Attentions dads, uncles and grandpas!  Bring your tlittle princess, ages 4-12, to the Butterfly Ball.  This semi-formal father/daughter prom includes music, dancing, photo opportunities and a mini grand march.

Tickets go on sale February 28, 2012 at 8am at RDJ Rec Center, 1104 2nd Ave S.

Garden Party

Kids and parents, get in the gardening mood at this pre-summer event. Kids and parents will enjoy creating take home insect arts and crafts. There will also be a bug hunt, face painting, plant walk, and more! Red River Zoo animals and Don Carey the Bug Man provide entertainment!

Arbor Day Celebrations

Development and cultural practices have prevented natural regeneration of trees along the banks of the river. Planting trees in key areas along the Red will create a buffer to maintain river bank stability, encourage the growth of native plants, improve water quality (F-M’s drinking water source!), and provide habitat for river wildlife. Trees reduce air pollution, cool the atmosphere, prevent soil erosion ease the severity of floods and decrease maintenance costs of roads and parking areas.

Volunteers Needed: We can all help our planet by planting the right tree in the right place. Join our park and city foresters in a community planting project. If you would like to volunteer to help, please call River Keepers at 235-2895

Fargo Birding Festival

See a variety of birds in a beautiful setting in South Fargo. Forest River is county owned land that birders can use. Bring your family out and learn about bird watching.  There will be educational equipment, guided tours and group birding sessions.  All skill levels are welcome.
