Hoppin' Hoedown

Moms, stepmoms, grandmas and aunts, bring your favorite cowboy to this hoedown party. Spend time together dancing to music, playing western games, making crafts and having snacks. Come out in your favorite western style outfit or casual attire. New this year, will be a photographer to take your western photos and print them out on site for you to take home. There will also be rootbeer floats and other refreshments available for snacking. Also, photographer will be on site to take special photos. Photo orders will be taken on site.

Moonlight Monster Mash

Vampires, ghosts and skeletons welcome. All participants are encouraged to wear a costume and dance the night away. Explore the haunted attic, play ghoulish games, and trick-or-treat for some spooky snacks. Enjoy a live DJ all night long and a spooktacular entertainment show by magician, Jeffery Salveson at 7:30 pm. Parental supervision required.
Fee: $3.00, ages 2 & under are free. Tickets available at the door.

Fiber Arts Festival

Celebrate all things fiber, yarn and fabric! If you are at all interested in fabrics and fiber, you’ve gotta come to this year’s Fiber Arts Festival! We’ll have exhibits, lectures and hands-on classes, including some things that may surprise you! Special Wheat Weaving Guest Artist. Admission is free! The North Dakota Make It With Wool Contest will be held in conjunction with the Fiber Arts Festival on August 11, 2012. The objectives of the contest are

  • To promote the beauty and versatility of wool fabrics and yarns.
  • To encourage personal creativity in sewing, knitting and crocheting with wool fabrics and yarns.
  • To recognize creative skills.
  • To develop life skills, including: being responsible for one's self, being a good sport, accepting judge's decisions, and learning about and appreciating diversity.
