The Fargo Park District will begin taking shelter reservations for the summer of 2008 starting on January 2. Reservations can be made at the following parks: Lindenwood Park, Oak Grove Park, Rabanus Park, Rheault Farm, Trollwood Park and Yunker Farm.

PUBLIC USE POLICY: Public use of park property owned by the Fargo Park District requires permission for public and/or private events. This includes press conferences, public displays, rallies, and recreation events. Written requests are required to secure the proper permit. Call (701) 241-1350 for information.

INFLATABLES AND CONCESSIONS: The Fargo Park District requires permits for use of inflatable games or concession sales during public or private events. Call (701) 241-1350 for information.

Lindenwood MainLindenwood Park - 5th Street and 17th Avenue South

Fargo's largest and most popular park will attract up to 15,000 users on a summer weekend.  The park is the largest multi-use park in Fargo with five picnic shelters, six softball diamonds, a baseball diamond, beautifully landscaped campground, restrooms and a new fully adaptive playground for people of all abilities. Lindenwood KiddielandPayment is due at the time a reservation is made. Reservations made over the phone must be paid by VISA or Mastercard. Reservations can also be made in our office at 701 Main Avenue, Fargo.

MAIN SHELTER - This shelter accommodates approximately 150-200 people.  There is electricity in the shelter, a large charcoal grill and the restrooms are attached to the shelter.  The rental fee is $46.15 for a half a day or $82.00 for a whole day.  A Group Consumption Permit for Alcohol is available for $25.00 upon request in conjunction with a paid rental for this shelter. lindenwood small shelterSHELTER 5 & 6 - These shelters are located next to the FM Rotary Universal Playground. There are two shelters we reserve out together which will accommodate approximately 75-100 people.  There is electricity in this area and grills located next to each shelter. The rental fee is $30.75 for half a day or $51.30 for the whole day. A Group Consumption Permit for Alcohol is available for $25.00 upon request in conjunction with a paid rental for this shelter. SHELTERS 2, 3 & 4 - These three individual shelters accommodate approximately 30 people each.  There is electricity in the shelters and a small grill located outside of each of the shelters.  The rental fee is $20.50 for half a day or $30.75 for a whole day. A Group Consumption Permit for Alcohol is available for $25.00 upon request in conjunction with a paid rental for this shelter. Oak Grove Park - South Terrace Drive N

One of Fargo's oldest and most well groomed parks, this is an ideal place to have a family picnic or class reunion.  The state's larges horseshoe complex is located in Oak Grove Park.  The 36-acre park has an 18 hole disc golf course, three picnic shelters, new playground equipment, bike trails and one of three bike bridges across the Red River. Oak Grove Shelter 2SHELTER 2 (north main) - This shelter accomodates 75-100 people. There is electricity in the shelter, a large charcoal grill and the restrooms are located next to the shelter, but are not attached. The rental fee is $46.15 for half a day and $82.00 for a full day. Rabanus Park - 4315 18th Avenue SW

Rabunus ShelterThis shelter is available to rent for groups up to 50 people.  This park has playground equipment, tennis, sand volleyball and basketball courts and the shelter has restrooms, electricity and water.  The fee is $46.15 for half a day or $82.00 for the whole day.  There is no alcohol allowed in this shelter.  Picnic packs available. Reservation times for Lindenwood, Oak Grove and Rabanus are as follows:

May & September         10am - 3pm or 4pm - 9pm

June - August               10am - 3pm or 4pm - 9:30pm

*Shelters can be reserved for an all day event with an additional cost.

 

Rheault Farm- 2902 25th Street South

Rheault Farm ShelterPICNIC SHELTER - The picnic shelter seats up to 160 people. The park has a playground, restrooms and parking for 150 cars. The shelter has electricity and a serving bar. The fee is $46.15 for half a day or $82.00 for a whole day. A Group Consumption Permit for Alcohol is available for $25.00 upon request in conjunction with a paid rental for this shelter. BUNKHOUSE - On site there is also a bunkhouse available for rent to groups and organizations year round. The space has room for up to 140 people. The facility has a kitchen and restrooms on site. Cost to rent half of the hall is $50 per hour. Cost to rent the entire space is $100 per hour. Beer permits are available with security deposit.

Trollwood ShelterTrollwood Park - Kandi Lane & North Elm Street

This 28 acres arts and culture park has a large playground, recreation paths, restrooms and two picnic shelters for rent. One shelter has electricity and seats 75 people. The other shelter seats approximately 125. The rental fee for each shelter is $46.15 for a half a day or $82.00 for a whole day.

Yunker Farm ShelterYunker Farm- 1201 28th Avenue N

This park is nestled around the Children's Museum. The shelter and playground are available for public use. The shelter can seat approximately 100 people.
