Join in on our Arbor Day Celebration! We can all help our planet by planting the right tree in the right place. Join our park and city foresters in a community planting project.

This is fun for the whole family. Bring your friends, family members, gloves, long pants, shovel, and boots. Refreshments will be provided while supplies last.

The Fargo Forestry Department, Fargo Park District, River Keepers, Cass County Soil Conservation District, and Audubon Dakota will receive the “Tree City USA” award. Students from Carl Ben Eielson and Discovery Middle Schools, along with several other volunteers, will be planting about 80 trees throughout the park.  Deputy Mayor Dave Piepkorn, North Dakota Forest Service representative Lezlee Johnson and Fargo Park Board President Joe Deutsch are also scheduled to speak.

Interested in Volunteering?
Adult volunteers are needed to chaperone middle school students who will plant, mulch, water, and clean up debris. Contact Kimberly at 701-356-8915 or kimberly@riverkeepers.org to volunteer!
